Making a World of Warcraft... Kinda.
Title sounds very naive, please excuse this! I am referencing WoW because that way everybody knows what I am looking for. - Think LoL/WoW hybrid.
What I am looking to create is essentially arena in WoW... With obviously different abilities/characters etc. a MOBA if you will.
I am aware that the graphics won't start out like that, and that it will take a long time.
My first question is obviously where to start? Are there any templates for what I guess would be a MOBA? But with the "cookie-cutter" MMORPG interface like WoW's?
Requirements:
3D
Physics
3D pathing (not 2d crap like WoW that is buggy, lets start it right huh?)
An action bar
Talent trees
Graphics can litterally just be spheres/simple human shapes interacting with one another on a simple multi-layer plane for the time being, I can create the models later.
to recap: My questions are as follows:
Is it possible to create this using Unity3D?
Are there any templates available for such a project?
Could you recommend any guides to get me started?
How does one go about making a game Multiplayer? (think League of Legends style)

Yes, it is possible to create this with Unity3D.
There are probably many templates. You just need to search. You can check out the tutorial projects which will contain many useful things.
