Artifacts on normal map.
After exporting an obj from blender, along with a normal map, I imported it, but the smoothing was off. I bumped up the angle from 60 to 180, and artifacts started appearing. Its all over, but here it's the most visible.

I'm not great at troubleshooting normal map errors, so I tend to defer to people who know more. Alec $$anonymous$$oody is one such person, and he made a tool called HandPlane that handles converting normal maps to account for idiosyncrasies in how each engine interprets them:
