Importing animations from Blender. Why do they align wrong?
I modeled a treasure chest in Blender and created three animations. Idle, Open_Lid, and Close_Lid. When I dropped the *.blend file in to Unity, Unity recognised the animations and the preview window worked fine to cut the three animations apart. Below is an image of Unity preview accepting all three animations correctly.
When I place the treasure_chest in to the scene, however, the lid is no longer aligned correctly on the box.
I have had this problem before and I was unable to fix it. I just kind of gave up and moved on to other tasks. In order to make game objects in Blender for my project and use them in Unity I need to work out how and why this problem occurs. The preview window shows the animations working exactly as I made them in Blender. In the Unity scene, there are alignment issues.
As I have said, this is not the first time that I have encountered this exact problem. I do not know how to resolve it. I would appreciate help from anyone who has made animations in Blender and imported them to Unity.
