Question by Kodz · Jun 08, 2015 at 10:47 AM · camerascenegamefirst-person-controller

Game is not using First Person Controller?

Ok so everything was working fine when I clicked the play button. So I decide to try building and running my game but when I ran it the game was just zoomed really far out on the map instead of using the first person controller. So I went back to unity and hit play and now it is still really zoomed out and it wont use the first person controller.

So my Question is how do I get my game to use the first person controller again like before?

I think I have the same, or a similar, problem. FPS was working great until I did some editing of terrain, including messing with Heightmap. After that, my FPS controller is thrown far off into outer space when the game starts, even though in Edit $$anonymous$$ode I can clearly see it in the scene in a reasonable position. On start game, my POV is far from the origin and miles below the terrain I created. I am not falling, but suspended in space with no ability to move. I have tried deleting the FPS controller and recreating it, dragging it around, nothing seems to solve the problem. Been googling for hours trying to find an answer. Could it be a bug? Or a common n00bie error?
