How to make GUI button glow

Is there a way to make a GUI button glow? I want it to glow sort of like in this picture: alt text (Sorry that it isn't a unity button.)

I never tried but two ideas: 1. Use a GuiSkin and create own images. 2. "Underlay" the Buttpn with a bigger glow Texture.
