Why won't MonoDevlop open on my Mac using Unity 5?
i am using Unity 5.0.2 and mono develop will not open so that i can look at the c# script. this is my first project using unity and I'm kinda bummed out.
No need to be bummed out, you can use any text editor to write code. I use TextWrangler.
Have you updated to the lasted version of $$anonymous$$onoDevelop?
every thing is up to date (i think) and the application just closes and doesnt give my error messages

I was having this issue. I found a page at http://phaser.gfxile.net/wp/2012/11/unity-version-of-monodevelop-on-osx-wont-run/ that suggested that the problem has to do with permissions on the Mono.framework folder inside the MonoDevelop app bundle.
I navigated to MonoDevelop.app/Contents/Frameworks/ and ran
sudo chmod -R 777 Mono.framework
And now MonoDevelop runs and seems to be working correctly.
