how does one use a normal mapped sprite sheet?
I'm making a 2d game and would like to have point lights "lighting up" parts of the scene. I can get the use of normal mapped-material applied sprites to work, but these are just single sprites. I am wondering how to set up art(sprite sheet and corresponding normal map/grayscale) so that this works and can be animated, with the point light/normal map effect working.

if am understanding thsi correct you wana know how to add a sprite sheet to youre game?
when you drag a sprite into youre game if you go to the inspector and change the texture type to Sprite (2D and UI) then change the sprite mode to multiple make the pixel per unit = to the amount of pixel you have per sprite example you have 6 sprites in a 3x2 sheet and each of them are 50x50 then you would set the pixel per unit = 50
after that click on the Sprite editor a litle window will pop up if you Click on Slice Change the type to Grid change the x and y value to whatever each of youre sprite width and height is if you use my example it would be 50x and 50y press Slice and then click apply you now have a sprite using a sprite sheet
