Is sound in background/screen off possible yet (Unity 5)?
I heard that playing sound in background / screen off (Android & iOS) is or will be supported soon in Unity 5. Is this true? Any details?

In Android, our activity is paused whenever you exit to home screen, switch to another app or receive a call. When pausing the activity, we make our best at stopping the audio threads so they do not wake up and drain battery :) Nothing has changed in Unity 5 with this regard so far.
So the answer for Android is no, if you don't write your own service to play sounds in background.
Out of curiosity, why would you need it?
