Unity 5 sample project files and scenes missing after opening Unity 4
I have just downloaded Unity 5 with Unity 4 previously installed with the sample project for Unity 5. After viewing U5's sample project, I made a test opening for my old short cut for Unity 4, which still happened to exist after downloading the latest installment. After opening and closing Unity 4, I reopened Unity 5 to find that the new sample project was completely missing! I went to "open other" to get to the folders for U5's racing sample game, put I see no files or scenes to access the project at all. Does this has to do with me opening U4? Is there any way to recover Unity 5's sample project at all?
You shouldn't be opening U5 projects in U4 or the other way around.For the reason that versions before Unity 4.6 didnt have the new Unity UI. Also if you open older proj in U5, it prompts you and makes some changes in your scripts[gameobject components' are now should be accessed via getcomponent() only]. So it is quite possible, that doing so will break your project.
