Unexpected behavior between parent/child rigidbodies
I have a cube. Attached to this cube are 4 child cylinders which are to act as wheels (they are using capsule colliders).
The cube's box collider is set as a trigger. The wheels are not. When I test the game, the wheels stay on the terrain, but the cube falls through.
My end goal is to have the wheels take care of the terrain contact, and have the cube just sit on them. I tried a fixed joint and that didnt seem to help much. What am I doing wrong?
Have you tried not setting the cube's box collider not to being a trigger? If you applied any type of physics to the cube (namely, a form of gravity), the cube will follow the code, but not "collide" with anything since it is a trigger. You could also have a mesh collider and use that as a trigger ins$$anonymous$$d.
