Cut a tree created with the tree creator ?
Hey everyone, I have a little question about the tree creator, i know how it works but this is what I'm looking for: I have thousands of trees in my scenes, I created a script to cut these trees the problem is that all these trees are taking lots of ressources and the game is a little bit laggy when i'm facing at the trees.
Someone told me that using tree creator is less laggy than placing tree (gameobject) one by one. But is that possible to cut a tree from the tree creator ? I tried to add the prefab of my tree but nothing is happening, I just want to be sure so I'm asking my question here, thank you all for your time !

If you have thousands of trees, don't try to place them as gameobjects, that will certainly consume lots of resources.
Try this asset: https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/84537
It allows you to cut down those trees on unity "built-in" terrain!
so you can simply use built-in terrain tool to place your trees, without creating thousands of gameobjects, this asset will still be high performance even if you have large scale of trees.
Just try it out!
