Adding Mac OSX top menu bar functions in Unity

Is it possible to create a Mac OSX application in Unity with a shortcut icon on the top menu bar for my app? As an example dropbox or skype has these shortcuts too.

If yes, could anybody provide some documentation on this or any tutorials would be really great too.

I found this link, but its pretty old. Did something change since then?
