Font issues - can someone explain the steps to make a custom font work properly?

Issues:

-When typing repeats of the same letter, they overlap the first of their kind and offset to the right a bit

-Each letter takes a bit of other letters even in clamp mode, and this changes depending on UI text alignment settings

-Font size wont work in UI text

-Pressing enter doesnt work in text field of UI text, if one key is on the previous line

does. even with pressing 2 keys on the first line, the next line is at the same level???

I set up a text on the screen to test it out, and it can be found under the canvas.
