textures smaller than 64x64
Hi Guys,
Is there a limitation to making textures smaller than 64 by 64 and having them show up properly in unity?
I'm making small icons to look like NES style graphics (sharp, pixelated, 8-bit), I've noticed if I make any files smaller than 64x64 (8x8, 16x16) they show up blurred when used in Unity.
If I just put my smaller items in 64x64 sized files, they are tiny and scaled down in game. Not sure how to get around this other than to manually scale them up in Paint.net.
I have Texture Type: Texture. Wrap Mode: Repeat. Filter Mode: Point. Max Size: 4096. Format: Truecolor.
Thanks in advance!
It depends on the import settings and where to use. As an example the standard GUI button background textures have 12x12 px. But you have to import as GUI texture to get them pixel sharp.
