Beta UI 4.6 - Red Cross on runtime objects
As you can see on the picture below, there is a huge red cross on top of my yellow button. This is only showing in the Scene view and not on the Game view.
The button is instantiated at runtime (while pressing the more button above) and all following creations also contain the red cross. Console does not say anything.
Any idea?
I have the same problem but in a different situation.
I have a scroll view with many image elements. I get this red cross when the game view is switched to a smaller resolution like 320x480 (Android). Weird....
I was able to trace out the red cross issue at least for my situation.
I had an empty group with Rect Transform width set to negative value. That created the problem. Looks like if the sprite is flipped in width or height (not negative scale), we get the red cross.

It looks like there's an image that is backwards on top of your button, check that it doesn't have a negative width or height.
Indeed the Panel in which the button is contained gets upside down. The Panel seems too big as a small button container.
I have yet to work further on this issue (lack of time) but will come back to update that solution. In the meanwhile, this answers the problem.
