Gamepad UI Controls: Always have the first button selected.
Hey folks,
so I am following a tutorial series where I recreated a UI that is designed for mouse controls. However, I am trying to make it work for Gamepads.
Now here is the problem: I have two different UIs in my scene, a main menu and an inventory. But I only have one Event System. So I select the first button from my main menu as "First selected" in the Event System. If I now go to the inventory, obviously no button is selected. That is rather uncomfortable.
Does somebody know how to always have the first button of any menu selected? Or maybe another cool workaround.

Okay, so I found out that you can attach an Event System to a UI Canvas. So they can both have their own Event System. The problem is rather: I can not know, what the player puts in their inventory, so I have no way of assigning a "First selected".
