LoadLevel.Async Hiccup/Not working properly
Hi there, i'm trying to use LoadLevel.Async for show an animation while it's loading the next scene, the code i'm using is the one of the script reference, however when i'm trying to run a simple animation (two sprites) on a update function the animation get freeze sometimes, since it's asynchronous i'm not really understanding why this is happening, any hints?
Thanks in advanced.
I am seeing the same thing since upgrading to Unity 5 (worked fine in 4.6). I only see the issue in my splash screen scene. I have a small scene that loads quickly and shows and animation while the main game is loading. The animation starts and hangs until the async loading finishes. I don't see the problem elsewhere when I use async loading with an animation at the same time, just on my splash scene.
Occurring on $$anonymous$$ac and iPhone 5S
@gtzpower Thanks a lot for the comment, so now i'm a little more sure that it's a bug :/
I submitted a bug report last night. Ill let you know what they say (usually they tell me if they can reproduce and if they are forwarding it to the development $$anonymous$$m.)
I heard back from Unity on this. They found that one of my larger audio files (20mb) that plays in the next scene is holding up the asynchronous loading. They mentioned that the "Load in Background" option would prevent the issue, and they also asked if I had seen this occur in a build (after mentioning that the behavior is expected in the editor). I confirmed that I do see it on a device.
Here comes the strange part... I checked the "Load in Background" option on that audio file and deployed the game to the device. With that option on, I get the "$$anonymous$$ade with Unity" splash screen ins$$anonymous$$d of my own :/
I will keep you posted when I hear back from them.
As a side note, this large audio file was added after upgrading to Unity 5, but before I had tried running a Unity 5 app on a device. So it may or may not be a Unity 5 specific issue. I don't know for sure at this point.

The Unity team has confirmed that they can reproduce the issue and they have sent it to their development team for resolution. You can now track the issue (at least the one I am experiencing) here:

see here
LoadLevelAsync
cannot displayed right in the editor, this only works when you play your game outside from the Editor.
Hi there my friend i knew about that but it's doing the same thing on a nexus 9, it's not a problem related to the editor, however thanks for take your time to reply!
