Unity3d vs Custom USB Joystick
Hi everyone! (long message, please, be patient, read only the questions if you like) :)
I have been working on an application that needs a Custom USB Joystick (HID) with Force Feedback. This joystick is used to control objects in a game in Unity. My task was to design a hardware (PCB) of a generic USB joystick. I designed it several months ago and it works fine on Windows and works partially in Unity3D.
Since it is a generic USB joystick, the inputs are easily found using InputManager as expected. But how can I used the Force Feedbak of my Joystick? Nothing seem to work and I tried a lot of different things along many weeks.
Right now, it is working as follows: I create another program that acts like a bridge between my game in Unity and my hardware. However, it does not work fine.
Therefore, I have several questions which I will list below, if you know something, please, give me hand:
1) Does Unity have a way to transmit a data to a Custom USB Joystick and it has for receiving (InputManager)?
2) Is it possible to write or read information from HID device inside Unity? since the joystick is an HID device, I could try that.
3) Is it possible to create a wrapper like Xinput (interface for Xbox360) which transmits information for a Custom USB joystick?
Thank you so much for reading it. Best Regars, Yusuke
