Character Controller movement jittery while standing on a rigidbody
So the gameobject you see here has a unity standart assets character controller. The platform is just a rigidbody with a script that applies a up force. As you can see, the character controller jitters. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, it seems you're using First Person Controller from standard assets, you should try using Rigidbody First Person Controller if you want your character to be affected by physical objects properly (such as a cube with Rigidbody).
That's the problem - I don't really want to use Rigidbody First Person Controller, because it doesn't fit in my game
The cube has character controller component, so it doesn't need a collider and the platform just a normal box collider.
Replace the box collider with a mesh collider and see if you get the same result

So how I fixed the problem: I made another platform which didn't have a rigidbody and attached a script which would set its position to the rigidbody's position. I also needed to disable collisions between the rigidbody and the other platform and between the rigidbody and the player. Right now there is no jitter at all.
