Hidden triangles and performance.
I have a mesh where a bunch(5-10%) of the triangles have no surface area.. 2 or all of the vertices of these triangles are in the same position. This is the result of a smoothing operation that gives me the shape I need.
I'm sure the GPU discards these eventually and performance is affected, but i'm wondering just how much.
Would it be very beneficial for me to spend a bunch of time trying to eliminate the duplicate vertices? I have no idea how I might do it. :P
Thanks
