How to display car speed on steering wheel

Hi, How can I display a cars speed on the steering wheel so that the text stays on the steering wheel. Like a Formula 1 car.

What have you done so far? You would want to parent your text object to the steering wheel so that it follows any rotations. You have a choice of either 3D Text or you could use the uGUI system.
