Apply image effects to certain layers?
Or otherwise limit what they apply to?
I'm playing with the Edge Detect Normals image effect and it gives a great cartoony look, but there are certain things you just don't want it to apply to. For example, a line renderer with a laser style texture, or the shockwave sprite that Detonator uses.

Image effects are all full-screen effects (as the name implies) and can't be applied to objects. The most you can do is apply them to some cameras but not others (using layered cameras and culling masks to control what gets drawn), but you still have the limitation that image effects applied to top-most cameras get applied to all cameras underneath.
Do you know if there's a way to achieve an outline effect besides the image effects, which can be applied to objects?
