Remote reporting of script errors from standalone build?
Hi. I'm trying to get more info about runtime script errors in a PC/Mac/Linux game I've built and deployed to players.
Right now, the players are running standalone builds. When a runtime script error occurs, the game appears to keep going, but some functionality is broken as a script has silently failed.
I know that I can enable "Development Build" and "Script Debugging" in the Build Settings to get more detailed information in the Unity Player log file, as well as display output to the Development Console. However, finding and emailing these log files seems like a lot of work to put on players, and error-prone.
Is there a better way to do this? Possibly one that is less friction for players, e.g. automatically sending me script error output?
