Unity web player plugin for mobile browser
Hi,
I am testing if it is possible to play Unity web player games through a mobile phone browser. I am testing it with a very common Nokia xpressmusic, and it seems that it is not possible to install the Unity pluging, maybe any pluging...
Did anyone face this problem? How did you solve it?
Just to make my objective clear, I want to play on a browser through my mobile phone, is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
I think that's not possible, cause otherwise there would be no point for unity3d to have iOS,android or other mobile mobile versions.
you might wanna check cloud servers. Using that technology is even possible to run maya on a ipad or anyother tablet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3cC$$anonymous$$VDdZ9A
The point of playing in web player is meant to not install the game. For 'easy' games could work fine, but for proper games you definately need to install the game in your mobile...
Actually, it's also impossible if you install the webplayer build on the pone. (The webplayer folder with an html and an unity file. It just won't open).
I hope they make it compatible in a future release as I don't believe it would down-grade the value. You wouldn't be able to sell it in the Apple Store, and the performance would be slower as it would still be running in a browser.

Yeah I'm quite sure it's not possible. I'm not sure if UT blocked it to secure the value of the mobile licences or just because its not technically possible.
Then, it is a pity, many small but nice things could be done
