For a game I'm making, I need the FPS controller to stop completely whenever it hits an object. Help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

Should it stop forever? Are you using the default Unity FPS Controller?

Yes and yes. For this, I need it to stop forever, and I am indeed using the standard Unity FPS Controller.
