How to get an asset name to be prompted with auto-correct/intellisense in monodevelop
Greetings,
I am trying to implement a tool in which a coder can be prompted via auto-correct(monodevelop) of the asset names contained in a folder.
For example, I would like to be able to type:
void Start() { AudioClip guitar = StaticClass.Assets.AudioFolder.Guitar.Solo1; }
I want to remove the need to remember the actual string name of the asset but instead when you type "." auto-correct will show the list of containing elements.
At this stage I am under the impression that I will need to use 'code generation' with the use of T4 in monodevelop. However after following one of the only few tutorials I could find, I still don't get it. See Here
Is using code generation the right way about this?
How does T4 work in unity as apposed to VS?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
