Create customizable vehicles ingame with prefabs?
So I'm making a game where the player can build their own vehicles. The problem I have is saving the vehicle and loading it in different scenes. Keep in mind I'm planning on incorporating multiplayer too.
for example:
Scene1
The player walks to a computer console and clicks on it to enter the vehicle customizer.
The vehicle customizer scene loads.
The player can create a new vehicle or load one they previously created to edit.
When creating a new vehicle, it starts out with a base module.
The player can drag and snap parts to the base module. They can also snap parts to those parts.
The parts are parented to the base module.
The player then saves the vehicle as a new and clicks exit customizer to return to scene1.
In scene1 the player can select from a list of vehicles created in the customizer scene to spawn.
I have the customizer done except for the saving and loading. Any help? I also prefer C#.
