How to access a Webservice from Webplayer?
Hi, I am a computer programmer, and I have the following scripting problem with Unity3d 4.0.1f2.
I got a webservice running on a Web site, that I access from my Unity project using C# code. On such site, I put the necessary "crossdomain.xml" file. From Unity, I build a "Web Player" executable.
Then, if I run the project within the Unity environment, it works. Instead, if I load in a Web browser the local generated HTML file, in the small black debugging window of the browser the following error message appears:
TypeLoadException: Error verifying
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapExtension: InitializeGlobalExtensions (): Could
not load type System.Web.Services.Configuration.WebServicesSection at 0x000b
I couldn't find answers on the Web. Thanks.
Did you ever figure it out? Same issue here.
TypeLoadException: Error verifying System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapExtension:InitializeGlobalExtensions (): Could not load type System.Web.Services.Configuration.WebServicesSection at 0x000b
Tried removing this section from the 2.0/machine.config file before compiling the web player but I'm guessing those changes get overwritten by the generated machine.config file anyway.
Yes, there is a crossdomain.xml file in place.
The WebServicesSection is clearly present, even in .Net 2.0:
Would be great to hear from the Unity3D dev $$anonymous$$m on this issue!
Hi, I'm having the same problem. Any answer about this? It's been at least like 5 months since this was posted :)
