Keyboard doesn't popup on Android 4.4 with Unity 3.5

Question

Hi everyone

We have a problem with the onscreen keyboard in our app. If our users have a device with Android 4.4(Kitkat) on it, the onscreen keyboard doesn't popup. Our app is build with Unity 3.5.

The reason we still use Unity 3.5 is because of the gambling license. So upgrading to Unity 4.X is not yet an option.

Ok, I fixed it by writing an own keyboard system. I took screenshots from the Android Keyboard in different states and used that to create a look-alike. It took a day or 2 to write, but this can't go wrong no matter what platform you're using :)

I guess the support for Unity 3.x has stopped, now they've announced Unity 5.
