Cloud ID works on my pc but not my laptop after building the game! Game included
Hi i have a simple game running and its working fine on my pc even if i build it it runs ok and i can use the matchmaker nothing is wrong at all
but when i send it to my laptop i get an error saying (Failed to read the ID for the match maker, please set the Cloud Project ID string in the player settings)
even though i sent the built exe and not the project folder i disabled the firewall and the security software i ran it as an administrator but no luck i am using an asset called Log Viewer link (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/12047) it makes you see the errors inside game it works exactly as the unity log you can understand as soon as you see it to view it in game click left mouse button and make a circle don't forget to run it as an administrator here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/v5j611us6j074gz/CloudIdGameIssue.rar
i think unity is not saving the cloud id when it comes to moving files from one pc to another so it might be saved in the documents or something else?
i hope i can fix this error i have a bad feeling about it
I'm having a similar issue when I build the project from the asset store https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/41836 and run it either from the editor or from any location HD, dropbox, USB on the same machine that I used to build the app or exe it runs fine. However if I deploy the app on a $$anonymous$$ac laptop or if I make a separate windows x86 exe and try to run it on a PC laptop after building it on a different machine. I keep getting the same error which reads as follows:
Failed to read the ID for the match maker, please set the Cloud Project ID string in the Player Settings (see https://unet.cloud.unity3d.com)
I have even gone as far as setting the PlayerPreference string to the ID assigned to me however this seems to have no effect either when I run it from either a $$anonymous$$ac nor from a PC that was not the machine that build the app or exe.
If anyone can shed any light on this it would be great! Thanks in advance.
