Retargetable animation
Is there a way to make NEW animation that can be retargetable withou motion capture software? I mean just like making new legacy animation or any other animation in software like Blender - by dragging bones, but in this case it would be dragging Mecanim humanoid parts. Is it possible to do? I would like to use Mecanim animation system but i don't have mocap tools for that.
Try looking at this and also look on youtube as there are lots of blender and evne blender to Unity tutorials.
Animation and modelling isn't something I've got into in a big way but yes it's 100% possible to use bender animations in $$anonymous$$ecanim.
In Unity 4 this works in Humanoid if the rig matches in structure.
You can retarget in two ways :
1) Using an Avatar from another model.
2) Using Animations from a model in a state machine of another.
Both ways have worked for me, one way is picky with regard to scaling etc, I don't remember which.
