is it possible to use 2 animator override controllers at the same time?
I'm making a game based around dual wielding weapons.
i have some first person arms with an animator with 2 layers, left arm and right arm.
originally i had all my animations in 1 animator like in the left picture.
i realised that when i start adding more weapons with more animations that way will become way to complex, so i decided that i should use animator overrides to swap out animations depending on the equipped weapon.
when a weapon is equipped and its animation override is used it overrides all the animations on both layers,
say i have a gun in left hand thats animating fine, then i equip a sword to right hand, now my gun shooting animation goes to the default left hand animation. sword works but the gun now doesn't.
Is it possible to use animator overrides to change a single/several animation without changing the rest? is there a better way to do this?
