Continue work on project from 4.6 to 5.0
Hi guys, as probably many already wonder, are there going to be any problems updating from 4.6 to 5.0 and continue working on a project with no issues or at least not major ones?
Was about to post this same question myself. I have two projects currently WIP so if opening and continuing development of them with 5.0 isn't possible would be handy to know before I decide if/when to update to Unity 5
???
The general rule is never to upgrade any core dependencies mid-project, unless you're happy to (potentially) start again. It obviously depends on how much time you've already invested in the project, and how much you want to use the features of Unity 5.

Here is a link to the upgrade guide: http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UpgradeGuide5.html
And take it from someone who's old enough to have been burnt by these things in the past. $$anonymous$$ake a copy of your project and open that in the new version 100% back out plan.
EDIT
Although Thumbs up Unity (if I could) for this:
certain areas where you may need to manually adjust or refactor parts of your project.
Any ideas about which are these certain areas, where I might need to refactor, given the information for the updates they've made?
