Unity on Android?
Hey,
is there any possibilty to work with Unity on Android? I know that there is no official Android version, but maybe someone knows about a workaround or some tricks to script on Android. The only important thing would be that you could test if your script would work with Unity. Maybe you can import the Unity API somehow?
That will never happen. Because Unity needs $$anonymous$$ono and you can't compile mono (or .NET) on android. And I don't believe it will ever happen.
Yeah, but isn't there any option to just script on Android?
Looks like you can write scripts in android. I've never done it before but you should try this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paprbit.dcoder
It would just be a really long winded way to do things though because you wouldn't be able to test any $$anonymous$$onoBehaviours in android as Unity won't install on android.
I'm not saying it impossible though, anything is possible in computers. But it would take some pretty sweet hacking to get Unity Editor running on android. If you do find a way, I would love to see it. It would be pretty awesome.
Yeah, I know that app and I use it frequently, but I am searching for some kind of API to import so that I can use AutoFill options and so on.

Not sure what you're asking. Unity definitely works for android and basically every other OS. You just specify what youre building for in the build settings. Everything you write will be in c# and unity automatically converts that for whatever you're building to.
I don't want to play my games on Android, I want to work with Unity on Android.
You are not supposed to reply as a question but ins$$anonymous$$d as a comment....
