Strings with Unity 5.0
So far I know I shoud not use stirngs when possible. Is this going to change with 5.0? Why?

um.... strings are totally essential. and very fast. actually for sending any substantal amount of data to other players online for mulitlplayer, its about the only option. and for storeing on user's hardrives, its also about the only option. pry cause even a slower machine can read through large strings without ever slowing down the proccesser and for bandwidth online, its very simple and can be even smaller cause a its easy to store and send on a "need to know basis" . for my current project i am actually pushing data into strings as much as possible for preformance. its faster cause it doesn't wait for returns from the unity game engine....just good old fasioned script! i love stings.
i can promise you that strings wont going anywhere anytime soon in game devopment!
Curious, anyway I know they are totally needed but many people say avoid them every time when possible for certain reasons. Are you currently using 5.0? Are you saying that I can forget about
