How do i make a bump gloss and normal map? Pleas help me!

I don't know how to make these maps or do them for free. is there any software or anything that is free?

I just don't know how to make them.

Blender is free (blender.org) and you can find one tutorial how to make bump gloss and normal maps at http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Manual/Textures/Influence/Material/Bump_and_Normal.
