Can't download from asset store: could not decrypt package file
Here's the stack trace:
CryptographicException: Bad PKCS7 padding. Invalid length 0. Mono.Security.Cryptography.SymmetricTransform.ThrowBadPaddingException (PaddingMode padding, Int32 length, Int32 position) Mono.Security.Cryptography.SymmetricTransform.FinalDecrypt (System.Byte[] inputBuffer, Int32 inputOffset, Int32 inputCount) Mono.Security.Cryptography.SymmetricTransform.TransformFinalBlock (System.Byte[] inputBuffer, Int32 inputOffset, Int32 inputCount) System.Security.Cryptography.CryptoStream.Read (System.Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 count) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/mono-runtime-and-classlibs/build/mcs/class/corlib/System.Security.Cryptography/CryptoStream.cs:205)
Hi, is your disk perhaps too full? Could you provide us with your package id?
Sara, thanks for quick reply.
It fails on all package downloads, but I got it to work by immediately clicking on download button right after i got the failure message. Apparently, the first download attempt/button click always fails and then the 2nd or 3rd work. This is consistent behavior for all packages.
I have hundreds of gigs of free space, so that's not the issue. It looks like it's a $$anonymous$$ono-related exception as well (going by stack trace). $$anonymous$$aybe $$anonymous$$ono has a bad key, or no key?
Do you have some asp stuff installed on your computer?
Google talks about asp.net
a lot with relation to this error. Can't help thinking something is interfering or has become overwritten.
Happens all the time; correct filename, different version.
Sara (or Anyone),
Now I can no longer download from the Asset Store. Unity charged me for the software (I'm paying ~$1000) and then I get no support from them. I'm getting the same error but now when I click a send time the link now says "Please wait..." Google not much help so I'm guessing this isn't that common.
Posting here is asking the community to help which may not be the right approach. I didn't find a Pro purchase associated with your email address, so maybe include it, or use your invoice number when you contact support. You can email the support $$anonymous$$m, or purchase a support contract. Also, consider submitting a bug report with as much information as you can think of. The QA $$anonymous$$m can take a look. It's critical that you include your Pro serial to get your bug escalated. It's certainly not common for customers to have problems decrypting asset store purchases. The error includes TransformFinalBlock
so I wonder if for some reason the download hasn't completed? Don't know where on the hard drive these encrypted packages get downloaded to, but if we could find that, we could see if it's a different size to the regular one.

Well if your GI cache space is set to a high number in edit preferences and the folder for the cache has a lot of free space alonside the disk/ssd then there may be an issue with the 7z file in your program file directory. One option is to copy the project to the C:/ root. Then try downloading and importing. that way it reads to a different location. Try it out.
