Draw only part of a circle
How do you make a part of a circle at a known position and with a known radius?
Let's say a quarter of a circle, between 45 and 135 degrees, as you look at it top down?
I'm fiddling with a LineRenderer for loop. There has to be a simpler way, a primitive something for a circle or the arc of a circle, only I cannot find it.
Got the circle ok with linerenderer but I get drawn radiuses at the start and end of whatever arc I specify.
A better way to do it would be to make invisible or change color/width of the lines between vertices x and y with LineRenderer, so that only the desired segments be visible. Is that possible?
It's for a "ship is turning in that direction" indicator , "arc of fire" and shield indicators, just like in that old Starfleet Command game, noit that I expect to get it anywhere near that.
Thanks!
P.S. Is it me, or some really simple things are hard to do with Unity? Quaternions for example may be good for highend stuff but why not leave the older style XYZ rotation for more basic uses?
