Is the new GUI faster than the old one?
I have already written my entire gui, so I don't know whether I should rewrite it or not.
I like the old GUI system, but it is really heavy on the performance (fps in editor with gui: 400, fps without: 1100), and since I am developing for android, this is a serious issue (I think a big part of the lag is caused by GUIUtility.RotateAroundPivot).
So how much faster is the new gui system, and is it worth to rewrite it?
Thanks for answers

Yes, it sure is.
I tried with 30 buttons to test for this GUI system. I got FPS of 20 on my Android device with old GUI system and for the same elements with new GUI system I reached up to FPS of 50 on the same Android device.
So now, it is true when they said that this new GUI is faster and can also be used for mobile devices.
