DX 11 Tessellation not working

Whenever I try to use the DX 11 Tessellation instead of certain bits moving up the whole plane moves up. I've tried everything but nothing seems to work. I'm running on a EVGA GTX 770 which does support DX 11. Any help would be appreciated and tessellation is so cool :D.
