@samk2572:
First, this is not an answer to the question so donT post an answer. I've converted it into a comment.

Second, this site is mainly run by the Unity3d community. We are the people that use Unity, not the ones that made it. Feature requests should be directed to Unity directly.

This is not the right place to ask that type of question, if you want to know why isn't there a Unity player for Linxu you can send e-mail directly to Unity team:

Please note that there is a suggestion for this on Unity Feedback here. If you want to have Web Player for Linux, then vote for it!

There’s no point in it. It’s deprecated technology. We developers move to HTML5 (WebGL to be more exact) anyway. Simply forget those badly implemented games, and go find a good one made with modern open standards.

You think Tiger Woods Online, Battlestar Galactica, JumpStart, $$anonymous$$onkey Quest and others are badly implemented?

Unity has added Google NaCl support, so their customers can publish games into the Linux market. Whether they do or not is of course a commercial decision for them to make.
