Animation Component must be masked as Legacy - Animated made internal
Hi guys, I see this error has come up a lot on Unity forums however its all for prefab objects, where I can change the import settings of the rig.
I have produced this animation through the animation panel and put it on an object and get this error. But I don't get any options to get the legacy of it as there isn't a rig window?
Help would be appreciated! Reis.

With your animation selected in the project pane, click on the dropdown in the top right corner of the inspector, change to Debug Mode in the Inspector Options If Animation Type is set to 2, change it to 1. This will change your "Home made" animation to Legacy :D
