Why does the angry bots example stutter for me?
Have any of you had this problem before, and is it fixable? I hope this isn't some kind of issue with unity in general or something. I want to start messing around with unity and the oculus rift dk2, but first i've been going through examples and stuff I've found that I get an awful lot of stutter from time to time while playing the angry bots game in the game view. according to the stats button I never fall below 60 fps, but it just feels awful, as if the fps is dropping for brief moments. I'm not sure what this is or how to fix it, I just hope it doesn't show up in the simple games I start working on
SPECS: gtx 780, core i7 3770k, 16gb ram, win 7, and an ssd
It's certainly not a problem with your computer, regarding those specs.
Keep in mind that you are running it in the editor, which means there are all kinds of things running alongside the game. Try building the AngryBots example and run that executable. You will see it will not lag at all.
