Moving from Project to Hierarchy
Hi, I'm new to Unity, and whenever I switch projects and then switch back, all the work in the hierarchy is lost. Instead, it's all in the project folder. Is there an easy way to move everything from the project folder to the hierarchy folder?

That's not how it works. The Project view is files on your hard-drive. The Hierarchy is your Current Scene. So you drag stuff from Project to Scene or Hierarchy to build your scene up, then SAVE your SCENE. When you reload your project, you can reload your scene, and it's restored.
Oh....... well that's depressing. Is there any way to recover the stuff that I had before?
Well, if you're writing a text file and quit out without saving, do you expect to be able to recover that? It's the same deal here.

May be Unity can have one autosave option for sovle the problem in future. After certain amount of time, there is autosave message display on screen to have developer to save the scense.
