Move parent object but not child
Hello unity developers, I'm currently making a game for oculus rift and I could use some help.
I have a cube that I rotate with the camera, and to set it up I needed it to be a child object of the camera. However, I need the cube to act as the main character's body, and I need to make it so the camera position will be the same as the cube position, but when the camera moves, the cube moves again, creating a constant movement in that direction. So, what can I do to prevent the cube from moving when the camera is moved?

It sounds like it really shouldn't be a child of the camera. But if you have to keep it like this you can either detach it from the camera and reattach it after moving the camera or save its position, move the camera, and set it back to its original position.
