new project, no standard asset
help, im new to unity. so i created a new project and when i looked at the project tab there was nothing there. how do i get projects there and where can i get more projects?

Of course there isn't anything there, it's a new project. You make projects by importing assets, writing scripts, etc. You can import standard packages using the Asset/Import Package menu. You can get some demo projects on Unity's web site, and there's one included when you downloaded Unity (currently Angry Bots in 3.4; in 3.0-3.3 it was Boot Camp). There are more on the Asset Store.
