Smoothing Groups gone when exporting 3ds max to Unity with cat rig
Hi!
I have updated FBX service pack.
When exporting Character with cat rig with fbx file from 3ds max 2012 to unity my SmoothingGroups disepears.
When exporting the exact same settings in fbx export settings without cat rig then the SmoothingGroup is fine.
As in picture left Sheep is exported without cat rig, and right Sheep is with cat rig, and exact same settings in "fbx settings" Why do I get this situation?

And the answer is! apparantly if I Change the settings here, then it works. Didnt matter what i did in 3ds max. Hope this help someone else :-D!

This is not a satisfactory solution in my opinion. You basically are tossing your smoothing groups away and calculating new ones in Unity. That won't work for all models.
