Grid Based Block Generation
I've been working on a 2D Terraria like game for the past couple days. I've already built a surface chunk(terrain) generator.
Is it a better idea to:
develop a grid system and automatically generate the chunk(terrain) over top of it
OR
to give each individual block it's own destruction function with an object for placing any other selected block behind it?
