Can I add some 3D in a 2D project?
Planning to make everything in my game sprite based but I would like to make the skills in 3D (easier to make, that's why). Can I mix both 2D and 3D in the same project? How?
Technically, Unity is always 3D. Using the 2D preset just means that the camera view is orthographic and looks towards the positive z axis, and that physics are computed in 2D (OnTrigger2D, CircleCollider etc).
You can always mix 2D and 3D stuff freely, but in the case of physics, both can't interact obviously.

You can mix the models and whatnot yeah, but as Cherno pointed out you can't mix 2d and 3d physics operations.
That said, you can add 2d rigidbodies / colliders to objects 3d meshes without any trouble, but you will need to manually account for any rotations along their local X,Y axes as 2D physics will only manipulate an object's X,Y position and their relative Z axis rotation:
