Is it possible to change the implementation for the built-in move gizmo?
Unity's built-in gizmos for move and scale give you three options:
move & scale: transform along one axis by clicking an axis arrow or bar
move: transform along two axes by clicking a plane next to the axis
scale: free movement on any axis by clicking a cube at the centre
I find I often misclick the planes because they're all adjacent and small and there's no way to scale on two axes (free movement doesn't make enough sense to bother me).
Is it possible to replace the built-in gizmos with ones that offer planes near the tip of the arrows to resolve my two issues? Here's an example:
I understand I can implement my own gizmos with EditorTools, but I don't see how I'd replace the existing ones.
